What is Photorejuvenation?

Photorejuvenation is a skin treatment that uses lasers, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), or photodynamic therapy to treat skin conditions and remove effects of photo aging such as wrinkles, spots, and textures. The process induces controlled wounds on the skin, prompting it to heal itself by creating new cells.

This treatment may be used for any of the following:

lightening of veins, removal of freckles and pigmentation, treatment of broken capillaries, removal of warts, removal of skin tags, removal of moles, reduction of redness, improving Acne, and improving clarity and texture of skin.

Dr. Anita Dormer and Park Avenue Medical Aesthetics may use Cutera® IPL or Aura® KTP 532 laser to perform this procedure. Dr. Dormer and a trained Medical Aesthetician will evaluate a patient’s skin and goals and determine which laser will produce the best results for each individual’s skin type and skin needs.
