What is Laser Vein Treatment?
Laser vein treatment is a noninvasive treatment that causes the elimination of veins for most patients. A laser light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the hemoglobin pigment in the blood vessel, causing a rapid heating of the blood.
Process
Coagulates the blood and collapses the vein. Several treatments may be required to remove all veins in a determined area. Significant vein clearance is usually obtained within 8 to 12 weeks.
When should I expect results?
Most patients will experience vein clearance after a 3-4 laser treatments. Results depend on many factors and it may not be possible to make every vein disappear. Patients may feel moderate discomfort during the procedure and, though rare and usually minor, there are possible side effects and complications.
