Juvéderm
What does Juvéderm do?
Juvéderm injections work by attracting water molecules to fill in areas where you’ve lost volume, collagen, and elastin. What’s particularly beneficial about hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm is that they go a step further.
Not only does Juvéderm instantly plump and fill in your skin, it also stimulates collagen production from deep within. This way, your skin truly becomes tighter and firmer the more you keep getting injections.
Are Juvéderm injections painful?
Any time you have a cosmetic injectable treatment, such as Juvéderm, it’s normal to feel some stinging, pinching, or burning. Most people feel discomfort for only a few seconds, and any uncomfortable sensation is well-tolerated.

Dr. Dormer sometimes suggests applying a topical numbing cream or icing the treatment area ahead of time if you’re worried about pain. Either way, it takes about 20-30 minutes for your skin to feel numb, so you might need to arrive at the office early.
When will I see results with Juvéderm?
Because Juvéderm is a filler, you should notice an improvement in your skin’s appearance right away. Initially, though, you could experience some temporary minor swelling and redness, meaning it might be difficult to see your true results.
Usually these issues resolve within 24-48 hours, allowing your improved, younger-looking skin to shine through. Plus, since Juvéderm is a soft and pliable gel that works with your skin’s natural moisture, results are entirely natural — it won’t look like you’ve had work done.
Juvéderm is a type of hyaluronic acid dermal filler.
Juvéderm is one of the original and most advanced types of dermal fillers used to:- Plump your lips

How long does Juvéderm last?
Juvéderm isn’t permanent, but it’s certainly long-lasting. Depending on your skin’s current health and which type of Juvéderm you select, your injections might last anywhere from 12-24 months. Some clients have visibly younger-looking skin even longer than that!
During your Juvéderm consultation, Dr. Dormer lets you know what you should expect from your injections and how long the results are likely to last.
