Greenwich patients tend to arrive having already compared providers across two states, and the questions asked at consultation here are more technical than in any other market this practice serves. That is welcome – it makes it easier to talk about placement and dose rather than about brand.

The expectation in this market is consistently for an undetectable result. That is achievable, and it is achieved by treating conservatively and reviewing, rather than by treating heavily and hoping.

What is botox, in plain terms?

Botox is a botulinum toxin type A injectable. Placed into specific facial muscles, it temporarily reduces the signal that makes them contract, so the skin above creases less.

The treatment-wide page – practice-wide botox – carries the detailed clinical explanation.

Who asks about botox in Greenwich?

A large share of the Greenwich list has an existing treatment history, often from Manhattan practices. Continuity and consistency matter more to these patients than novelty, and prior dosing is reviewed carefully before a new plan is set.

Patients travel in from Cos Cob, Riverside and Old Greenwich, and from Port Chester and Rye across the New York line. Appointment timing is usually built around the Metro-North schedule or the I-95 run.

What else is available at this location?

It is common for our Greenwich Juvederm treatments and our Greenwich Dysport treatments to be discussed at the same consultation. Combining treatments in one visit is assessed case by case.

If another location suits you better, Botox in Asheville covers the same treatment.

What will treatment cost?

Costs are not listed here because they are not uniform. The treatment chosen, the area, the amount of product and the number of visits all change the total. That total is given to you at consultation, before treatment is booked.

Which clinician will treat me?

Anita Dormer, MD is responsible for assessment, planning and treatment. The two-week review is with the same clinician, so there is no handover in the middle of your treatment plan.

Background on the practice is on the about the practice page.

Questions we are asked most

How do I avoid looking frozen?

By treating conservatively and reviewing at two weeks rather than aiming for maximum effect on the first visit. Softened movement rather than absent movement is agreed with you before treatment.

I have been treated in Manhattan – can you continue that plan?

Bring what you know about product, dose and timing. Prior treatment is reviewed as part of the assessment, though the plan is always confirmed against how your face moves now.

How long until I see the result?

Three to seven days for onset, with the settled result at around two weeks. A review appointment is offered at that point.

Which neuromodulator is best?

There is no single best product. All three used here are botulinum toxin type A and they differ in formulation and onset, as the comparison table sets out. The choice follows the assessment.
