The short answer
Radiofrequency microneedling at our Cashiers office combines controlled micro-injury with radiofrequency heating to target texture, scarring and laxity. Treatment is delivered on established platforms including Morpheus, Secret RF and Pixel-8, under topical anaesthetic, as a course of sessions rather than a single visit.
Leave your details and a line about what you want to discuss. We will come back with appointment options.

Skin at 3,485 feet takes more ultraviolet exposure than the same skin would at sea level, and years of that shows up as texture change, pigment and a loss of firmness along the jaw. Radiofrequency microneedling is the treatment most often discussed at the Cashiers office when the concern is the quality of the skin rather than a specific line.
It is a course treatment. Sessions are spaced several weeks apart, and the change accumulates. For plateau residents who are here for part of the year, that scheduling reality is worth planning around at the first appointment rather than discovering later.
Looking for something other than microneedling with rf? the Cashiers, NC page lists what else is offered here.
Radiofrequency microneedling creates controlled micro-channels and delivers radiofrequency energy through them to heat deeper tissue, targeting texture, scarring and laxity.
The treatment-wide page – main microneedling with rf – carries the detailed clinical explanation.

Two groups make up most of this list. The first is patients with acne scarring, often in their late twenties to forties, who have tried topical routes and want something that works at the level the scarring actually sits at. The second is patients noticing early laxity along the jawline and under the chin who are not looking for surgery.
Anyone with recent significant sun exposure – and on this plateau that includes most of the summer – is assessed before treatment rather than treated on the day, because recent exposure changes the safety calculation.
Many patients at this location also ask about Juvederm at our Cashiers office and Lip Filler at our Cashiers office. Whether both are appropriate together is settled at assessment.
The same procedure is offered at our other offices – for example our Wake Forest Microneedling with RF treatments.

Cost is discussed at consultation rather than published. The variables that decide it – treatment, area, product quantity and session count – are only known once you have been assessed, and quoting a figure before that would be guesswork dressed up as transparency.
Treatment planning here sits with Anita Dormer, MD. Being physician-led is not a marketing line – it changes who is deciding whether a requested treatment is actually the right one for you.
Background on the practice is on the about the practice page.
It is planned as a course rather than a single treatment, with sessions spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on what is being treated and is agreed at consultation once your skin has been assessed.
Expect redness that looks like strong sunburn for a day or two, sometimes a little longer. Most people are comfortable in public by day three. Sun protection afterwards matters more here than at lower elevation.
The practice uses Morpheus, Secret RF and Pixel-8. Which platform and what depth and energy settings are used is a clinical decision based on your skin type and the concern being treated, not a fixed menu choice.
It can be done year-round, but recent sun exposure is assessed first and sun protection afterwards is not optional. Many plateau patients choose to run a course through the quieter winter months for that reason.
Background for the clinical points made here comes from the sources below. They describe treatments in general terms and cannot replace an individual assessment.
