Volume loss on the plateau tends to be noticed in photographs before it is noticed in the mirror – a flatter mid-cheek in a picture taken at the club, a shadow under the eye that was not there two summers ago. Juvederm is one of the tools used to address that, and it is used here as a structural decision rather than a line-filling one.
Because Cashiers is a seasonal community, treatment planning at this office is often built around arrival and departure dates. The patients who come to the Cashiers office for Juvederm are usually in their forties through sixties and are not looking for an obvious change. The most common request here is for the face to look less tired rather than younger – restoring support in the mid-face so that the lower face stops looking heavy.
A second group is smaller but consistent: patients who have had filler elsewhere, did not like the result, and want a conservative reassessment. Because Juvederm is hyaluronic acid based it can be dissolved, so that conversation is a practical one rather than a theoretical one.

Allow thirty to forty-five minutes for treatment itself, and longer for a first visit because the assessment comes first. If you are driving in from Highlands or Sapphire, that is a round trip you can complete inside two hours.
Yes. Juvederm does not affect your ability to drive. You may have some swelling and possibly small bruises, so if you are heading back down US-64 to Franklin or over to Lake Toxaway, that is a comfortable journey rather than a problem.
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be broken down with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. That is one of the reasons this family of fillers is used for facial work where the outcome needs to be adjustable.
At least two weeks, and preferably three. Swelling is at its most noticeable in the first few days and the result is not settled until around the two-week mark, which is when a review appointment is offered.
